Porcelain pieces, after firing, cannot and do not hold anything, like words that are heated and cooled. They harden as porcelain but their meanings are long gone. Like a meeting, a conversation that is remembered only by the warm embrace at goodbye.
Sara was born in Hong Kong. She graduated with Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Master's degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, Australia. Sara is the director of "clay play" and the chairman of the Hong Kong Contemporary Ceramic Art Association. She has participated in various solo and joint exhibitions in Hong Kong and abroad. She as the recipient of Fond Des Artistes Grand from Alliance Francaise (2006); Award Winner for the Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition (2003); Hong Kong Museum of Art and Ceramic Award from the Pottery Workshop, Hong Kong (1998). She was also artists-in-residence in numerous art institutions in Japan, Canada, the United States, Vietnam and Philippine. Her works are collected by numerous private collectors as well as public institutions and museums.
